Why did you choose to build a home in Oran Park Town?
We have a son who lives close by at Mount Annan. We had looked at other estates in the area and couldn’t find a block that fitted a home and our mobile home-the caravan.
What's your favourite aspect of Oran Park Town?
We are excited that Oran Park Town will be a self-sufficient town. As an older couple, we wont have too go far to get to amenities. We love that we will be able walk to everything and to do things we want to do. The freedom to get to things like the doctors and shopping is important to us as we grow older. We may even end up living in one of the retirement villages.
What type of lot did you purchase?
Our lot has a 20-metre frontage so we can park the caravan at the side or rear of the home.
Have you decided on a builder?
We are about to sell our existing home, but at this stage we are looking at Wisdom.
If yes, what made you choose them?
The display village home had everything wanted and more. We were really impressed with the finishes.

Any design features of this home?
This home has a food alfresco area, a walk-in pantry for Dianne and good home theatre for David.
How does this work for you and your family?
The home has everything we wanted and more. We wanted to look to the future and ensure the home has future appeal even though we don’t need four bedrooms for example. Long term value and resale value has influenced our decisions.
What are you most looking forward to when you move in?
We will be closer to all our children and their families as well as our holiday home on the south coast.
How is the building process going?
We are awaiting Council approval.
What advise can you offer to someone else looking to build a new home?
We are looking forward to building our new home as we haven’t done it before. Our budget includes brand new furniture…We plan on taking only the bedroom suite and dining suite which will now be a good fit as it is a twelve seater.
When will you move in?
We hope about 12 months time. In the meantime we are living will our son at Mount Annan who lived will us when they built their home.. a return of a favour.
Any other information you can provide?
We enjoyed meeting the people close in the street when we brought the block. The sales process was good and we had the Oran Park Team staff were courteous and fantastic. We haven’t stopped raving about it to our friends. The sales process was a great experience as it was managed very well.
