Sam and Danielle had been looking for a property to buy, without much luck for around six months. They were beginning to loose hope of obtaining something within our budget. Having a look around at the proposed plans of development, they realised that it was quiet achievable for them to build what they wanted in a brand new home at Oran Park Town.
Why did you choose to build a home in Oran Park Town?
After hearing of the major interest form the public that the media was advertising made us go and have a look at what all the fuss was about. We are living with Danielle's parents just minutes away at Harrington Park and when we drove into the Estate we were impressed on the over the hill treasure we had found. With all the growth and infrastructure that is scheduled to happen we are sure we have made the right decision.
What's your favourite aspect of Oran Park Town?
The Location! It is close to family/friends. Value - it had everything we were after in our home and within our budget. The fact that it is going to have fantastic new facilities and everything has been planned out from schools to retirement. We hope to start a family soon and Oran Park Town covers it all not to mention the shopping prescient.
What type of lot did you purchase?
405 square metre's - We looked at the price lists first and marked the ones that were in our price range and from there drove to the various lots to look at how level they were. We picked two that we really liked and proceeded back to sales office to find out how we register our interest and from that moment we made the choice to camp out like others had been doing in stage A as were weren’t taking any chances. Luckily for us no one had put the names on the list for our fist preference and we set up camp. From there the camp site grew and we had a long three days and nights chatting with our new potential neighbors and discussing house options etc.
Have you decided on a builder?
Not yet, in negotiations with Beechwood, Firstyle and McDonald Jones - All have beautiful homes on display at OPT.
Any design features of this home?
All the display homes have everything we are after including, theatre room, outdoor entertaining area, kitchen, ensuite to bedrooms.
How does this work for you and your family?
Perfect for a young couple looking to start a family.
What are you most looking forward to when you move in?
Having the privacy of our home for starters, but also the modern decor and surroundings.
Hows the building process going?
We have only exchanged contracts on land to date as we are unable to settle due to the land not being registered. We have obtained two tenders from builders and are in the process of fine tuning our variations and extras.
What advise can you offer to someone else looking to build a new home?
Do your research, be patient and although it will seem a little daunting . . . . go for it! It will be one.
